sur ma chaîne Youtube… sprint Melchior to improve tennis speed dec 2017

This shows a session made with one of the players I had the honor to coach.
The goal is to help him being faster on the tennis court, using athletic drills.

From this video, we’ve looked at some points of observation:

– posture: not leaning back, not with shoulders rolling forward either
– relaxing shoulders
– placing the feet under the pelvis, not too much in front
– using the foot, “armed” before landing vs tensing

May this inspire you to look at the details and how you can improve too!

Sur ma chaîne Youtube… Build your Endurance for tennis, immersion camp winter 2017

This is an extract example of what Pavel Tsatsouline taught us in his Strong Endurance seminar.
Really good for intermittent sports like tennis.
Please note Arthur s technique for swings is not perfect, so we ll need to polish this otherwise there would be risk for injuries (most likely low back and maybe his neck as well).
And ideally we would have a kettlebell that corresponds to each of us’s strength.
Enjoy!

sur ma chaîne Youtube… Augustin tennis footwork issues

A video to give Augustin a visual about what he can do better in his footwork. Back in 2011.
What you can see:
– difficulty to move from the balls of the feet
– split step not at the right moment
– running technique to improve.

Courage

Amazon link here While Extreme Ownership is a great book to build confidence in a masculine way, Courage,by Debbie Ford,  is its equivalent for the feminine side of it. Indeed while the former is all about discipline, strategy and order, this one is about accepting, feeling and going beyond our ego-sense. To me, both are important
