Teenagers: Breathing Exercises for Anxiety and Performance | Portia Mead

Here is an interview with Portia, yoga teacher and breath coach.

From a thyroid condition and doctors telling her she won’t be able to live normally anymore, Portia started a journey that lead her to heal through yoga. More recently, she used the challenge of her first marathon to dive this time into the power of breathing and the Oxygen Advantage teaching.

Topics

  • We talk about challenges, in our lives and especially as teenagers.
  • How she wishes breathing techniques for anxiety, asthma and stress would be taught at school, especially for teenagers.
  • The signs of poor respiratory health
  • The improvements you can achieve with these breath exercises
  • The difference between yoga and Oxygen Advantage exercises
  • Snoring
  • Her 3 favourite books about breathing

Bonus: another video interview (French Speaking Only)

I’ve interviewed another Oxygen Advantage Coach, Jean-François Lopez. He is diving into the details of functional breathing, the prerequisites before techniques like resonance or Wim Hof’s methods, and much much more. So, if you’re curious and speak French, here we go:
